TGT 2009 will officially kick off on Sunday Feb. 22nd. Plan to be there by 2pm at the latest. For those of you who can make it, we are planning on being there on Saturday the 21st.
As The Honored Mate this year I would like to start what I
hope will become a tradition for years to come. Actually, Bob really started it last year with giving back to
Mexico. So, here it is… This year as part of the built-in
cost of the trip, $50.00 from each TGT member is going to go to a charity of
choice by the honored mate. I know this is not a lot of cash, but $350-$500 to someone or some group
is a big chunk. This year’s
donation will be made in Honor of our fallen mate, Randy Lunsford. I am up for suggestions as to
where we should donate.
NOW……………………………The Details………………………..
Grab your Skis, Knuckle boards, warm clothes and a set off
golf clubs boyz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To help
keep cost down this year we will be cooking breakfast/dinners at the cabin for all
but one night. Lunch will be on
the slopes or golf course. Two of
the nights you will see Mr. Ellenwood of 500MPH Productions showcasing his recent film debuts, one night will be a TGT poker tourney at the
cabin and one night is a group crap tourney at a casino (more info given at the
cabin about this event, an Opening Ceremony (New
Rules, Yes!!!) for the New Honored
mate and an Awards/Closing Ceremony Friday night.

Well, here is
the skinny, I liked Bob’s trophy idea and wanted to keep the spirit alive. So, every morning we will be having a lottery drawing for your ski partner for the day. Everyone needs a digital camera for proof. Each team will earn points that
each partner will carry over individually into the next day with their new
partner.
More to come on accumulating points….

Dang Rob looks like I am going to have to attend. I have looked at it several different ways and can not come up with a good excuse for not making it. Shoot it is after Valentines Day and well before Easter. O well, guess I have no excuses. Wait I know, it does not cost enough. It can be a real TGT for under $1,000.
Rob
Bring it Ian. Wax up your skis and only bring the chocolate in your undies.
El Jefe
That looks like a great schedule. What is the snowmobile thing like? I noticed that you put $200 for food/beer. I think that is grossly under estimated. Remember Miller is coming.
Zucc
El Jefe brings up a good point, i did forget about miller coming back this year……should we say $500 each to make up for miller?
Zucc
El Jefe, Good point that change that to a daily fee. We will each have our own snowmobile and a guide that will take us from the base of the mountians to the top. It is about 3 hours total
Rob
Unequal taxation! This is like the mortgage bail-out. Miller is the punk who drank too much house and the rest of us have to pay for it!
El Jefe
The snowmobiling thing sounds like a blast. I haven’t been on a snowmobile since I was a kid. Anyone else ever been on one, or are we a bunch of rookies? Olsee
Rob
I have never been on a “snow machine” in my life. I can’t wait. My only fear is that they make us go 10 MPH, all in a row, leaving us to stare at each other’s bums all day with no risk of….. anything.
